Dr Agustina L. N. Aminin is an Assistant Professor in Chemistry Department, Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics at Diponegoro University. Agustina finished her Doctoral degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2008. The conversion process involves biocatalysts and fermentation by microorganisms is the major focus of Agustina research. Since 2000, Agustina research largely focuses on the isolation, characterization, and immobilization of thermostable enzymes for industrial purposes such as beta-galactosidase, cellulase and amylase. Those enzymes especially extracted from local thermophilic bacteria isolated from several Central Java hot springs as well as local agriculture compost. Besides individual enzymes, recently Agustina also develop cocktail thermostable enzymes for efficient biomass degradation. Another research focus is development of functional foods and fermented foods useful in food industries from local resources such as soy whey, seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii), and Alpina galanga. Utilization of soy whey for microbial fuel cell is a new interest.

2. Some selected papers will be published in a Special issue in Open Chemistry Journal (ISSN: 2391-5420). This journal quarter is Q3 and has impact factor of 1.027. This journal is indexed by Scopus and Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science (WoS). There is an additional fee for paper published in Open Chemistry, euro € 260/paper (payment is conducted after the article is accepted for publication)
4. Papers which are not selected to enter in the journals above will be published on a Conference Proceeding with the indexing number (ISBN) or in the Journal of Scientific and Applied Chemistry (JKSA)
