Yayuk Astuti received her B.S. degree in Chemistry Department, Diponegoro University, Indonesia, in 2005, and was awarded a Ph.D. degree at School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, Newcastle University, UK in 2014 under supervision of Dr. Lidija Šiller at Nanoscale and Nanotechnology group. Her doctoral research focused on the development of the method for de-agglomeration of detonation nanodiamonds by grafting organic molecules on the nanodiamond particle surfaces. In addition, the characterisation of their potential properties for particular application such as bio-imaging and bio-labelling, that is, a particular kind of luminescence called photoluminescence was also undertaken. Currently, her research interests are concerned with fundamental and applied aspects as well as characterisation of detonation nanodiamond.

2. Some selected papers will be published in a Special issue in Open Chemistry Journal (ISSN: 2391-5420). This journal quarter is Q3 and has impact factor of 1.027. This journal is indexed by Scopus and Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science (WoS). There is an additional fee for paper published in Open Chemistry, euro € 260/paper (payment is conducted after the article is accepted for publication)
4. Papers which are not selected to enter in the journals above will be published on a Conference Proceeding with the indexing number (ISBN) or in the Journal of Scientific and Applied Chemistry (JKSA)
